At the production site, a new flour silo is being constructed as a milestone of modern industrial facilities. The excavation pit was executed with sheet pile walls, while the foundation consists of a special deep foundation with bored piles up to 54 m in length, safely transferring the enormous loads into deeper soil layers.
The flour silo is built using slipform technology, with particularly high requirements for exposed concrete quality. The structure is complemented by in-situ and precast concrete slabs as well as a steel hopper. The façade will feature horizontal metal panels.
With its innovative construction method and sustainable orientation, the project joins the ranks of demanding industrial developments.
