With the South Elevated Road, one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the region is being realized in Ludwigshafen. The new bridge replaces the old “Pilzhochstraße” and creates a high-capacity connection for inner-city traffic as well as for access to the supraregional road network.
The bridge structure, over 500 meters long with spans exceeding 30 meters, is distinguished by its scale and technical complexity: extensive foundation works, modern structural solutions, and a construction method that meets the highest demands for safety as well as urban integration. Its implementation requires precise coordination and outstanding engineering expertise.
With a project volume in the mid double-digit million range, the South Elevated Road sets a strong signal for the future viability of infrastructure in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. The project stands for innovative, sustainable, and efficient construction that meets the requirements of the coming decades.
