Osthofen
visit of students from Stuttgart University of Applied technology
In a central location in the town of Osthofen, in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Alzey-Worms, a residential quarter with 11 terraced houses, a residential-/commercial building with a total of 32 residential units and an architectural office is being built.
The turnkey construction of this residential quarter is one of our showpieces for the implementation of the idea of Lean Management. For this reason, we invited 38 students from the Department of Civil Engineering at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences to get to know this type of lean construction management in a practical way. Divided into two groups, accompanied by 3 professors of the department, the students received insights into the theoretical basics of Lean Management, the customer special requirements management and experienced the practical implementation within a tour directly on site. The client, Mr. Tilo Weisbrod, also answered the students’; questions in detail. The excursion ended with exciting conversations, questions about applied construction methods and a common meal on the construction site.
