From Schifferstadt to Mexico
In 1948 the master bricklayer Jakob Heberger founds his own construction company. The main task is to repair war damage, carry out repairs and renovations – the young man has a lot to do. And he does it with optimism, skill and high reliability. Construction quality and adherence to delivery dates soon became trademarks of the company. The rapid reconstruction and the economic miracle of the 50s come just at the right time.
Jakob Heberger consistently uses his market opportunities – the company grows and thrives. With his development the focus of activities also changes: HEBERGER GmbH concentrates more and more on industrial and municipal construction.
Borders are crossed in 1974
The first orders with a volume of millions come – constantly rising sales figures characterize the business and HEBERGER takes advantage of the oppotunity and invests in the future. But also the far-reaching construction Industry crisis in the 70s.
HEBERGER survives the major market shakeout with unchanged good results. Now the strengths of the company – construction quality, reliability, partnership -are paying off. And what was true at the time is even more true today: transparent processes, open book policy, responsible employees are our basis for further steps towards the fututre.
The journey around the world continues
From 1974 HEBERGER is also present abroad. The construction of a sparkling wine cellar in France was followed by several major orders in Iraq and the entire Middle East as early as 1975. The 80s and 90s saw engagements on the Iberian peninsula, in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Croatia.
In the following years HEBERGER also plans and builds major projects for international customers in Spain, Portugal and Mexico.
Since 1990, HEBERGER has also been represented in the new federal states of Germany, in Finsterwalde, Leipzig and Dresden. In addition to the headquarters in Schifferstadt, locations in the old federal states are Neulußheim, Mainz, Baumholder and St. Ingbert.
Customer satisfaction – the most important asset
The demands on construction companies are increasing. Functionality and architectural aesthetics form a unit that is always to be redesigned – and newly implemented -, especially in large construction projects. As a construction company, we face the competition on an international level and need two qualifications for our success: the ability to understand the customer and his wishes as the highest maxim of thinking and acting.
And: the inner readiness for continuous innovation. But the satisfaction of our customers is our most important capital. We are firmly convinced that this idea is the main reason why the HEBERGER Group is today one of the leading construction companies in Germany.
