SÜW-Tour 2017
Cycling to support children who are difficult to educate
Already for the fifth time the SÜW-Tour took place on 10. and 11. June, which was initiated by Bernhard Bock in 2013. The aim of the 2-day event is To raise money for institutions that deal with violent, difficult to educate young people.
HEBERGER has been taking part in the bike tour for years and was at the start for the 20, 60 and 100 km distances with highly motivated teams at 30 degrees and in bright sunshine. The HEBERGER team for the 60 km distance was led by former German racing cyclist Rolf Gölz, who has won several one-day races and Tour de France stages in his sporting career. Altogether 21 colleagues completed the distances in and around Hatzenbühl and Germersheim in extremely sporty times. Many celebrities and former racing greats cavorted on the track. So you could see Steffi Jakob, former world champion in skeleton, Benjamin Meier, Austria’s best bobsledder, Marcel Hacker, former rowing world champion, Alexander Resch, Olympic champion in doubles bobsleigh, Sven Otke, ex boxing champion, Norbert Schramm, ex figure skating legend of the 90s and the Olympic champions in speed skating Hans Lutz, Gregor Braun, Karl Link and Uwe Jens-Mey cycling for the good cause.
