The Grosskraftwerk Mannheim Aktiengesellschaft (GKM) produces electricity for over a million people and heat for around 110,000 households, for trade and industry.

As part of the necessary modernisation of the power plant park, the company planned to build one of the most modern coal-fired units. The principle of combined heat and power (CHP) forms the basis for particularly efficient, climate- and environmentally-friendly generation of electricity and heat. Over a period of approx. 6 years and combined with a high order volume, we were responsible for highly complex and extremely extensive engineering and civil engineering work.
